Please save the date for our first ‘in person’ Newhaven Champions meeting on Tuesday 26 April from 1pm – 3pm at Newhaven Fort.
We will be in conversation with two guest speakers to share experiences and ideas on how culture, and in particular the creative sector, can affect how we do things differently to establish a place.
Our guest speakers are: Sarah Dance, Chair at Creative Estuary and Project Director at England’s Creative Coast, and Joe Hill, Director of Towner Eastbourne
We hope this discussion will share ideas and insight from other successful places but be directly relevant to our own emerging offer in Newhaven and the unique opportunity we are currently holding.
We will touch upon how to build legacy, discussing how programming can speak to both grassroots and a wider ambition, and practically how to create and sustain creative consortia that can support and enable that work to happen.
We will encourage the audience to join us for a Q&A with Sarah and Joe afterwards, hosted by the EZ Programme Director, Corinne Day.
There will be drinks and refreshments provided, plus a chance to be in the company of champions!
