Construction and Engineering employer consultation event

Posted on 02/10/2019

East Sussex College Group (ESCG) is reviewing and developing its curriculum under the banner Beyond 2020 and invites employers to attend a consultation event, to help improve the curriculum offer and collect valuable feedback from employers.

ESCG will be hosting a series of employer consultation events where it will engage with businesses to welcome thoughts and ideas to ensure these meet current and future workforce requirements. The goal is to co-design and co-deliver the educational programmes with employers of all sizes, while ensuring that the programmes include the key skills and competencies needed to be successful in work, or enable progression onto higher levels of study.

ESCG is refocusing its technical provision into four key career families:

  • Construction, Engineering and Motor Vehicle
  • Creative & Design, Digital, Music and Performing Arts
  • Health, Care, Sport and Public Services
  • Business & Service Industries (including catering, hospitality, travel and visitor economy, hair and beauty and business and marketing)

The first consultation event will take place on Wednesday 23rd October, between 4-6pm at the Eastbourne Campus and will focus on developing the Construction, Engineering and Motor Vehicle career pathway.

The session will provide ESCG with your valuable feedback so it can improve and adapt its provision, meaning the students will be well trained and ready to meet your business needs.
